Hauled it away & was wondering what it was. It is heavy. I thought it was a water heater but seems to have to much hardware on it. Looks like there is a tank inside. Anybody have any ideas as to what it might be? Thanks.

Could be. I'll strip the good stuff off & scrap it.

Looks like an old style ammonia compressor for a cooling system.

Has some brass & copper on it, not much but every lil bit helps. dirty tin/steel is going for nearly 12 cents per lb & it weighs prob 50 lbs.

I vote for some sort of A/C or refrigeration compressor.

Tore it apart yesterday, had two heating elements inside. Had insulation inside like a water heater behind the outward tin.
