Anyone using this fixture from NightScaping - Postliter WM-3535

If so can you tell me how well it's built.

I have installed literally thousands of them. That being said I am talking about the WM-3535-CU (Copper). They are the cleanest, simplest, most organic post light I have ever seen. Simply love them, as do my clients. They are well built, sturdy and there really is nothing to go wrong with them.

Would you consider this fixture your signature post mount fixture.

Well no, I would consider it Bill Locklin's Signature Post Light. You will have to wait a bit longer to see my Signature version; which is in the works and will hopefully come to market in 2012.

Lets just say I am working closely with a design & engineering team to develop some new architectural & spec. grade fixtures. The first two are in production now and will be launching to market very soon.

Anyone using Miniature LEDS in the Postliter WM-3535 CU , if so how well have they performed.

Anyone using Miniature LEDS in the Postliter WM-3535 CU , if so how well have they performed.

It all depends on the application. The new 19mm T5 Wedge LED lamp from Illumicare will fit in the Postliter and will function very well in that fixture. The standard 24mm T5 Wedge is just a bit too wide to fit properly.

http://www.illumicaregroup.com/2010/09/led-t5-wedge/

The lamp is almost as long as the lamp cavity of the fixture, so if you are mounting them 36" or more above grade, and if you have seating nearby there is some chance of a direct line of sight from a seated viewer to the top of the LED lamp.

All of the Illumicare LED lamps are optimized for use in outdoor lighting systems, so you don't have to worry about moisture ingress or condensation, however you would not want to have a direct, presurized stream of water (from a sprinkler) to soak the lamps.

Have a great day.
