I bought this mower in 2006 to mow a few areas I did not want to get my zero turn into. I used it about 2 hours a week during the summer up until last summer when I used it less. I have not used it this summer since I have less to mow and have bought a 21 inch push mower to do the small areas. It does not have an hour meter, but I figured it up and am going to say it has between 200 to 300 hours. It has the 13 hp Briggs and Stratton engine, and greasable spindles. New it cost me $2300 shipped. I'm asking $900.

I've improved the usability of the back up thumb lever, raised the handle bars about another inch past the stock high position. This is good for me at 6 foot tall. You can still lower the whole handle bar assembly one notch if you need to.

The drive axle drips a little bit of oil. I called Better about this and they said it was likely coming from the hose that connects up to the heated oil expansion reservoir and it was not a big deal. I added some 30 W which is what they recommended to see if the axle itself was full and it was.

I've replaced the thumb control cable twice, the last time was not that long ago. If I had of been good about greasing the end of it once a month or so may not have had to do that.

Wanted to add that once when I was mowing I could not get the engine to idle down so I shut it down. Took the carburetor off and noticed the throttle plate had come off. I screwed it back on to the throttle shaft with some lock tight on the screws. That should not happen again.

I'm trying to remember everything that is different from when I bought it new.... it has some scratches and rust spots where the paint has worn away. I've always run the front tires with no air, they are about the right firmness that way.

This is a good piece of equipment. If there is some interest in this mower I can add some pics and give more detail.

I included a picture that shows how I cut a notch in the handle bar and bent it up a bit then rewelded and painted it. Another shows the extension I put on the thumb lever.

Wanted to add there is no looseness in the spindles on this mower, belts are in good condition, very little wear on the original blades. And as you can see I took the springs off the thumb lever. Wanted to explain that I was not happy with the speed the mower backed up when I got it so I "rigged" it to where the thumb lever and forward grip move freely. I have the forward lever adjusted to a very fast walk at full speed, which is as fast as you'd want to go unless you wanted to jog. I could not get everything adjusted like I wanted it, it would not back up fast enough and still go forward fast enough like it came. I think it all works better than when I got it. But both cables are adjustable so you can adjust it how you want it. Mower is not especially clean, but everything works.. put a new battery on it last year. If I can think of anything else I'll add it later.

What type of drive system? Single hydro? I'm in the Toledo Bend area, so it would be about 3 hours to you. Thanks, Jim

They didn't offer the dual hydro drive system when I bought it so yes it's the single hydrostatic drive axle.

Not $700, I'd consider $850 and meet you halfway. That would be about Lufkin I guess. Probably going on Ebay next weekend if I can't get $800 out of it.

I'm putting this mower on Ebay tomorrow. I can take off the handle bars and put it on a pallet if anyone wants to consider shipping. I can get it to a business address with a loading dock.
