I doubt that price as well. Post your quote for that machine and then maybe but then again - no way.

Where can I get this deal. I will take 2 if it is with the bagging system...I would prefer a little more engine(i will pay the difference), but if that is all that is available, I will take it. You can keep the mulch kit too.

Better buy it then....they ain't making them anymore. They've got the Pioneer now but it's not the same...looks to be whimpy and they're slower...more of an estate mower than the HP I think. I have a 2003 52 inch HP with the 23 Kawi. Nice machine.

$5000 isnt a reasonable offer? A little feedback.

I think $5,000 is a good price and I've been tempted by it but just don't have the cash laying around at the moment. That and I'd prefer a Kawi engine. I think it has more to do with the time of year than your price really....most people are wrapping up their mowing seasons and are gearing up for fall cleanups and just aren't buying mowers unless it's a steal or they really need one.

Now that's it's sold...I'll tell you why I didn't jump on it. I have the same mower, older but basically the same, with the 23 HP Kawi on it. As a mower it's fine, plenty of power. But the deck does tend to clump up in wet conditions and it leaves stringers if cutting high on thin lawns/weeds.

But put the Ultravac on it and it really bogs it down. I know they're the same horse power, but the Kawi has more torque, so I think it would be worse with the Kohler on it. The good news is that when bagging the deck doesn't plug up unless you're in some really nasty conditions. For leaves the Ultravac is nice, but even with the anti-blowout baffle on it you get blowout out the right front corner, so you can't really do single pass cleanups unless you want to be going in reverse every other stripe. If you're someone who bags occasionally, as needed, and for spring and fall cleanups, it's a nice setup. But if you're someone who bags a lot, it's not the best.

With all that said, it's still a nice mower, and for that price you really can't go wrong.

Ever used FF on mower decks ? my SFS deck used to clump up until I decided to use FF and its all good now

Darryl, thanks for the insight on the stringers never knew that always thoguht I didnt sharpen the blades that well. But that only happened on crappy lawns. Other than that, The applications you said it was used for is actually what I did use it for. I do this on the side ( legit by the way:usflag:), I also had a 23 hp kawi again I am no mechanic but power difference or torque I really couldnt tell the difference in mowers. But thanks again for the insight on the stringers. Overall I was pleased with it.

Thanks for a great deal Rob the machine is awesome its day and night difference compared with what I used before ( Toro Z master with SFS deck ) not to mention how much faster it is which cut down my on site time a lot.

Have to agree. My does the same thing sometimes. It does it 99% if the deck has a layer of grass under the deck then it does it unless you mow slower. Just scraping the deck or using my hands and removing some of the clumps under the deck it's day and night results. To me 27HP is too much for my mower. There is some blow out if I am bagging so I just go a little faster and it helps.
