..

Yo Florida boys.

Just Thinking??? How about a Florida Lawnsite Get together??? I am thinking we might have to have several since the state is over 300 miles long. Maybe even some sponsors could kick in to help out. Orlando might be the most centrally located but I think more along the lines of more local get together or Picnic type party. This actually might be a good opportunity for a sponsor to educate the Unwashed Masses I am part of. BTW I am thinking Late Oct or Nov until say April or May when is cooler and less work load. Also it might give those snow bird Yankee Losers an opportunity to see how it is done Florida style.

In Edit

A sponsor might offer some Free CEU's as part of the Deal. This would give more people a reason to come. I was a CEU provider at one time and the process is not hard to get aprroved.

Yep the Fl Nursery Growers Assoc show at the convention center in always interesting and informative. However it might be too early in the season since it is Sept 29 to Oct 1.

For the southern most part of Florida TIPE (Tropical Plant Industry Expo) show in Ft Liquiordale in January 25th might be good get together. However in both cases the City in large and finding a place to get together might be hard.

But then those who want to go to these shows can make arrangement to meet at the entrance

I am thinking more localized Picnics for maybe the Sarsota to Ft Myers group. Maybe even Tampa to Ft Myer and meet on Venice Beach or Nokomis beach with the sky blue water.

Of course the same for other sections of Florida.

Winter brings a lot of Snow Bird LCO to Florida who might enjoy seeing how we do it. I am sure many of them head to the Orlando area.

BTW I willing to meet at the FGNA in Orlando at the end of the month.

I live on the beach on The Esplanade North. On the North Side of the North Jetty they have all of those Picnic tables, Restrooms, etc. right on the beach, done know if they can be reserved, I think first come.

That sounds perfect for what I am thinking. There should Bar B Q pits also. A few burgers and a little BYBO should make a fun afternoon. Plus it is about in the middle of the Gulf coast so people from Tampa to Naples could drive about an hour to get there. Add in some of the clearest blue water in Florida and the fact the water is about bath temperature in Late Sept.

Seems like a great idea.... I would vote for the November Time Frame. GIE will be in late October correct? So after that shortly maybe?

Ric,

Ric, no need for an apology. I really do enjoy having you on the forum as you can be much more of an asset than anything to this site. I do also enjoy poking fun at you also when needed but all in all I respect you and I think you know that as should all on here. *trucewhiteflag*

I can not think of a better title to represent you and to also Stir the Political Pot. But with 24,113 post at this Writing and 24,107 of those posts in the Political Forum, can you afford to be away from the Lawnsite Political Forum that long?? BTW I will be one in Jeans and Polo shirt ignoring you while laughing out of the side of my face.

As for Venice BBQ Idea. I don't see a great deal of interest. It would be a lot of fun to put Names and faces together and meet some of the people we talk with on Lawnsite. What the Heck I would love to see what a Foreign Born welfare Obamaphile looks like in the flesh since I am Paying your Living expenses with my taxes.

MR-G

I had to google River Ranch and found it in Lake Wales. It is a little more travel time for me but still not a bad trip. We might get lot more people to show up.

BUT I Think the sponsors are missing a great opportunity to throw a short Seminar and some hamburgs to promote their products.

That all the better you can do?? Yep very disappointing. I think you are best advised to stay in the Political Forum where people are used to your BS.
