A first for me to see this. Some may know it well? I'm use to the other rain bird rc mech controller

In any case I was at a restaurant- system hadn't been touched in years. This controller was just hanging off the wall . I freaking bumped it and all of a sudden sparks start -a flying! 2 Rooms over I'm hearing screams ! A gfi popped off and shot some sparks too.

I was pissed .. serious code violation. ... The wires were just disconnected in the back of the controller only half a inch from eachother and they were live...

Got a new controller in- used a different plug and circuit..

I think I have the manual for that, and a more in-depth repair guide you will not find.

Mid-1960's at it's finest. I have a 1968 RB catalog, and this is the controller they advertise.

Beautiful controller, probably would still be working today if it wasn't neglected.

Still not as rare as some of the Moody and AQUA-DIAL controllers around here. We also used to have hydraulic timers were pretty normal on municipal irrigation and golf course systems.

Better weather, clients, and perfectly legal non-conventional herbs here in the southland.
All my family lives down here too...
