My new hurricane blower came in today. I was trying to keep up with goldpro until I found out he bought another one:hammerhead::laugh:. I will post a review once we have a chance to use it. Here are a few pictures of it. The thing is pretty darn powerful and a double flap thing on the discharge and allows you to have them both up, both down, or one up and one down and it is all done with a switch. Pretty cool machine!

Yeah....see those flaps on the discharge. You can have them both up, both down or one up one down. The last pic shows the switch that runs it.

Thanks. its a 14hp subaru. They have a larger one with a 27hp that also works as a truck loader but it was a lot more than I wanted to spend and we already have a truck loader.

About how much do those cost? I remember the bigger ones being really expensive.

I got mine for $2999. I got a really good deal on it. The big one is like $8500

That seems like a great deal. Congrats. Let us know how you like the subaru engine. I'm awhile off from having anything that big.

I'll bet it will be worth it for the amount of leaves in New England. I went to high school in Mass. They get a ton of leaves up there

Definitely. Guys from the south just don't get how many leaves we actually get up here. They say that they would mulch them. You cant go through a foot of leaves and try to mulch them you will stop a mower dead in its tracks, I have done it....:dizzy:

makes me laugh when i see someone post that lol. most of my yards i get at least half a truck with the vac. one yard i get 3-4 truck load out of it and that just what we pick up and not what we blow into the wood. just try and mulch that!

Where and how did you get it for $3k?

I went in to my local dealer and the rep was there. He said he would give it to me for $2999. They told me he gave the deal to us and one other company. I thought it was kind of a salesman type line but another landscaper came in as I was picking it up and they told him they would not do it for that price right in front of me. I guess I just got lucky?! I think they want to get it out in the area so other guys see it being used.(that is what my salesman said) We are the only comany who has bought a 314 from them and they only sold one of the bigger ones to a cemetary about an hour away.....so to make a long story short, I'm not really sure why I got that price but I did.

You'll love it.

Watch the fuel, they do suck the gas, but that engine is doing a lot.

Congrats

I hope we feel the same way

Thanks....I kinda figured it would suck down the gas but the production should offset the fuel costs I hope...:waving:

Update on the Hurricane. Just looking through some of my old threads and saw this one. This thing worked awesome for us. It probably saved about 1/3 of the time we normally spend on just about every cleanup. Definitely paid for itself in labor savings.
