Recently puchased an enclosed trailer and my 4cyl tacoma was struggling. My father inlaw works at a Ford dealer an had an 06 with 29k miles on it and was in great shape so i bought it. Of course it burns more fuel than the yota but what should i look out for. If anybody tests trucks/equipment it's you guys. So let me know good and bad experiences. Thanks:drinkup:

I have a F150, 4.6, 4x4 and does fine (most of the time) i have an edge programmer in that helps a little. I pull a single axel 6x12 (open) with Toro grandstand, Walker MCGHS, 2 blowers, trimmer, edger, hedge trimmer, 21" push mower. It seems to struggle with all that behind it and the worst part is stopping. Just replaced all rotors and pads. The back rotors were warped. It does decent with just one mower on the trailer but two is tough. Gas mpg's are 11-12 with trailer. Hope that helps.

Thanks, i read your other post and see you have just under 100k miles. Any major issues? is it worth getting the programmer?

I have not had any major issues at all. The drivers side pwer window control had to be replaced. I think the programmer has served me well. i put a leveling kit and 295/70/17 tires so it allowed me to correct the tire size. Also I was getting 245 miles to tank and now i usually get 325 with out towing. It just gets real small when you are needing the extra cab and pickup room.
