i had a couple minor issues installing - zspray is curently helping me with

who has done this already? and how are your results?

the old pattern was 5 x9
the new pattern is 3.5 x 9

i was talking with them the other day about this. it would depend on soil moisture most.

svc 1st,

hows the tine pentration?

As you know it's all about moisture, I'd say on average I'm pulling 3"

Just received my 36 z-plug last month. I have about 500k of aerating under my belt and very happy with the results. I am also averaging 3" plugs. I have done properties ranging from 2k - 200k with no problem. Well done LT Rich!

jb turf and srv 1st what width is your aerator? 36" or 48".

I was talking to LT Rich today after I saw this thread. They say they have about 600 to 700 lbs of down pressure so when you increase the tine count it lowers the psi per tine (hence plug depth). Guessing you have 36"s units as they would have less rows and get better depth then the 48".

I know everyone hates doing double passes but when done with the 48" Zplug a double pass would have more plugs than anything else out there and can do it at a high speed.

I have the 36 and it does have the extra row of tines, unit now comes with a 23 H.P. engine and has plenty of power and plenty of down pressure. averaging 3" plugs on hard clay that's plenty of depth to me.

was just searching aerator tines and realized i never replied back on this thread,
it was a good upgrade - made virtually no differnence in plug quality- this was a 36" model
