Looking at a mower w/ a 27HP Liquid cooled Kawi. Anyone have experience as far as ease of maintenance/fuel consumption/length of life?

1.3gph on a turf tiger. I like the donaldson filter on it compared to stock air filter.

The one i am looking at is on a Scag Cougar. Why not put the coolant in it?
This one has the thin round air filter on top of the engine is that OK?

If you are refering to newtostone's post, I think you misread his statement. He said that it doesn't use coolant.

I have one on my leaf loader, LOTS of power.

I would worry more about the machine than the engine.

Check for visible coolant leaks (engine and radiator).

If it has a ton of hours on it, it could probably use a valve adjustment, though they weren't as sensitive to this as the A/C'd Kawi's.

I don't know much about the Cougar, but never remember hearing tons of good things about them.

I knew someone would bring that up!
Its only got 400 hrs on the engine/machine. Its in excellent condition and a good price. Yes the cut may not be the best and such but it will fulfill my purposes for now.

They ARE built SCAG tough!

For a leaf machine they'd be great!

Exactly. And those big yards you have to bag all the clippings.
