Looking for advice on slit seeding. . .

I'm planning to offer slit seeding this fall for those customers who's lawns could benefit from it. I've never used a slit seeder before and will likely rent one from our local rental shop. They're offering a Billy Goat unit for rent.

My questions are these: Can anyone here offer some advice based on their experience with slit seeding? Anyone have any tips or advice regarding the Billy Goat Unit? Any other units appeal to the readers out there? What's a "realistic" price to charge for this service?

I just rented a billy goat slit. I will be dammed if I ever use that one again. It was almost new and I hated every min. of it. I dont have a lot of experience with slit seeding but it has to be better than that.
