I would like to take another survey. I thought we could ask the following:
1. How many years in the industry?
2. How many employees?
3. Are you licensed?
4. Are you insured for liability?
5. Is you equipment insured?
6. Is your truck covered by a commercial or personal policy?
7. Do you charge by-the-cut or monthly all year?
8. Do you have a minimum?
9. What is your cheapest lawn?
10. What is you largest $$ lawn?
11. Are you a member of any professional associations?
12. Are you certified in any grounds management programs?
I'm heading out on vacation today and will return next week, please share your ideas on the subject. When I return I will post the survey.
Thanks,
Ray

Im surprised at the number who have personal insurance on their trucks-this is almost the same as having no insurance at all, when going from route to route. For myself, the commercial policy was also less money when I started up.

Wow, Bill I agree. Having personal insurance on your truck is a no-no, if your trailer were to break loose and you loose all your equipment your SOL. Also, if it or something fall off your trailer or truck and strikes another car/truck you again are SOL. Having your truck under a commercial policy is not much more $$ and is a write off.
I may not have made it clear on the first post above, I was not really looking to take the survey here, now, I was looking for ideas and suggestions on what to put on the survey. I posted some of the questions I had thought up, but I was looking for your ideas also.
So, if you have any ideas to put on a survey please share them here, I will do the survey later.
Thanks,
Ray
