70 sounds a little steep. I would be around 50 on that. if you can get 70 more power to you.

Lot of factors involved but I always bid on the high side with Bi-weekly service. my pricing for 1/2 acre is about 45 weekly and 60 bi-weekly give or take $5-10 for a corner lot (more to edge) a sidewalk (same) or if the lawn is a PITA to service (heavily treed, weird slopes, gates, ect). I wouldnt lose sleep over a bi weekly customer declining a high estimate. $35 bi-weekly for a 1/2 acre is super low. If the potential client wants bi-weekly service I always give them my bid for both weekly and bi-weekly, I usually sell them weekly, which is a better value for both parties.

I'd tell him $225 per cut bi-weekly, Or he can opt for $100 weekly.

I hate bi-weeklies. They never pay. In fact, I no longer take them and I put them on a blacklist.

That sounds about right, plus NJ is like here in NY, tends to be a little higher. May even be a little low with bagging. Dont snub all the bi-weeklys though. You can usually tell if its a slow grower by looking. I have a bi-weekly that takes me 15 minutes by myself at $50 and Ive never met the customer in 2 years of doing place. Best account ever!

I had a bi weekly that claimed her lawn didn't grow. It grew as if it was on steriods. Mulching slow and taking cuts have width of the mower so as to recut a just cut over area to help reduce visible clippings left behind did not help.

All this old lady was complain about the clippings after evry service. Yet after being told her lawn needs weekly mows she would say lets wait till see next time. A cycle that went on every two weeks.

Ther extra time it took to mow and edge because a week was skipped makes charging an extra 50% mandatory for most bi weekly mows.

Thing is your the first person since I have been on Lawnsite to have an easy bi weekly mow (this does not mean where one skips a week or two in the beginning and end of the season due to low growth at those times). Then you have to make it rarer because you get paid very good for your time.

well if you cant look at the turf when you price the job and tell whether it is thick healthy lawn or crap then I dont know what to say... I dont have "a" easy bi-weekly lawn, I have several. Another one grows pretty fast but we get $300 for it.

LOL, bag that crap???!, seriously, I'd tell him $200. Stupid grass is dead anyways, there doesn't look like anything to bag.
