So I bought a leaf loader, but didn't know how I was going to mount it...
$300 for a tailgate mount
$750 for a swing away kit that weighs an absurd amount
So last minute I got a call from a client that wanted a leaf cleanup the next day.
What I did was put down the dump insert tailgate so it was level with the bed.
Cut a piece of plywood to fit where the tailgate was
mounted the vacuum on a piece of 3/4 in plywood which sits on the tailgate
used 2 motorcycle tie downs to hold it on tailgate
Problem solved for $20
...doesn't look bad either
And because the tailgate is down and the loader is in the middle you can fit two backpack blowers on each side! ..(or gas tanks) ..its nice to have the room for tools when the dump is filled with leaves!
