i was thinking about using this cool new leaf vac for my truck and hauling leaves. do you think 25cents per leaf is a good starting point? let me know what you think. its a nice 5hp so it should be fast and do a nice job, right?

I'm confused... are you going to charge .25 cents per leaf? Do you plan on counting every leaf you collect? Most leaf loaders are 16 to 18 hp so it might take you a while to load them into your truck.

so should i charge $0.50 per leaf. when i count the leaves should i do it in piles of 10 or 100?

I would bring a triple beam scale and weigh 100 leaves and just go by weight from that point on. It will be faster then counting them out all the time.

There was a time i would have given my nuts for that thing.

The guys with the vacs that could suck a cow through may laugh at him.

But there are plenty of guys with rakes and tarps that would drool over that

I know what I am putting in my next contract at that price I'll bring in more then a million a week in fall. How many leaves fit into a shredded yard in a leaf box?

i couldnt resist.....it was for sale for $500 on craigslist. when i started i mounted my 16hp vac to the tongue of my 5x10 trailer and had to shovel them out with a pitch fork. what was the point? it took longer to empty it then it did to do the cleanup.

I have had decent results with the $.25 a leaf pricing theory, My truck can hold 1,456,567 leaves if they are dry so I gross about $364,141 per load.

We charge $0.17 per leaf, but we make up for it in volume.

$0.37 each. They're smaller than leaves, but they weigh more, so you can carry less. Hence the upcharge...

Had this old woman who calls me every year to clean up her leaves. Every year she whines about me being to expensive, she's on fixed income yada yada. She called a couple of weeks bin asking what I would charge and I told her a nickel a leaf. That was met with a click and a dialtone. Hopefully that ended that annual ritual

I forgot about this, it's still funny. We are doing a special, 22 cents a leaf for spring cleanups!

i wish i had a leaf loader, however there is nothing wrong with a tarp and rake, gotta get them to the loader first!

Anybody bought a BG vac or Lawnshark in the last couple of years. I'm wondering if they've gotten any cleaner to use.
