That sounds a bit unbelievable...over 50% increase in "hores" power.

well from what ive herd.kawasaki uses the same block for a 30 so if u swap out the carb should give you some butt dont know just how far you would have to go to get 30.i would be happy with 25.just need to know if it is poss.and if it is cost eff.

Sorry doesn't work that way. A carb only supplies the fuel an engine can use. More displacement is needed to get that big of an increase.

Ok, on a most Briggs engines, yes, they used different carbs that are jetted for more or less HP and or torque but the displacement and timing are the same. Usually within the 5hp range. Now the 19 hp Kawi you are referring to is prob the FH model and the 30 hp is the FX model, which is a completely different block, camshaft, ect. More horsepower may be obtained with a carb from a 21-23 hp FH kawi engine, but to get 30 hp, not going to happen without NOS, a supercharger or a turbo (exhaust driven or direct drive.) Getting more HP out of these engines is a huge waste of money and time, you might as well just slam $2000 on the engine with the HP you want.

The only practical HP increases are not bolt on parts. The flywheel could be lightened and balanced, the crankshaft, too. Shaving the head down .010 to increase compression, polishing and porting the intake, ect. Even the best combo of mods will only gain 4-5 hp if your lucky.

The 25 should be the same as the 19/23. There is an old thread about it. To go from 19 to 23 you can buy a new throttle shaft( i think thats what it called) The 19 the butterflies only open a little bit the new shaft lets it open more. The 25 is again a different shaft and it has an oil cooler. You can just grind the stops down on the shaft and put the cooler on the save some cash. I'm going to ne ordering the cooler to do this soon.
