My favorite lawn and garden shows are the ones I am too busy to attend because I am overseeing a $10K project.

Ive only been to a few in my area which were the CGKA show in Hartford which was really great. It was geared towards landscapers. I also have been to the Providence RI show which was mainly turf equipment and golf course equipment. I am supposed to be attending the show in Georgia this February with my college, so ill let you know how that goes.
Are you talking about Television shows or Trade shows?

I apologize. I was referring to TV shows that come on HGTV on Saturdays and Sundays.

Hehe. I didn't realize that. Plus I was just being a smart Azz in my previous comments.
Well, I used to watch these shows a lot. Still should. Just been forgetting to tape them with the TIVO.
Anyway, I really like "The Designer's Landscape" a lot. That show is almost always good. And I usually learn something new every time I watch. "Landscaper's Choice" is good every once in a while, but I don't care for it as much. And "Landscape Smart" is good 50% of the time.
That's my 2 cents.

Is he the guy with the glasses and mustache? If it is, that guy is the one I watch. I don't mind the occasional episode of Hometime when Bob and Diane, or whoever they are that build all these houses are, do some outdoor work. The other guy though, is sort of like the "Bill Nye" of lawncare, though.:D

Yeah, that is him. He is hoot for sure. A lot of his topics are for homeowners, but not all. I watch him because he knows his stuff, but also because hes funny. He films his show(s) at his home in Tulsa most of the time. I also like the landscape shows.

I watch Designers Landscape and Ground Breakers. Gary Alan (Designers Landscape) has really neat ideas and plant selection. I watch Ground Breakers mainly because I like seeing the befores and afters.

Anybody ever watch that Surprise Gardener I think it is? Some of the ideas they have I don't care for. And when you see 12 guys crammed into a 20 x 15 backyard I have to chuckle. I know for the pemise of the show they need that meny people. Landscape solutions is a good one I think I've learned a little from them.Dave:blob3:
My favorite lawn show was "Leave It To Beaver" when Eddie convinced the Beaver to mow the yard first then ask for money. What a hoot.
Actually I like Paul James' show and I also watch Gary Alan (he's from down this way ya know).
How many of you want to give the "experts" advice? I am new to this and I find myself talking to the TV telling the "expert" a better way (this mainly occurs with designing).

Ground Force on BBC America is the best in my opinion. I am not sure if I Just want to watch Charlie "work" or if I enjoy the show!!! :D
But really, I like most of the stuff they do, I like it that they show the stuff going wrong which I can identify with, and generally they show 3 or 4 things in one makeover. Gardening, water feature, construction project with wood usually and sometimes Stonework.

Considering i dont have cable I dont mind watchin Home Time and This Old House, always interesting to see how they do it on a national television audience. But I've heard there are some good shows on HGTV.

I like Designers landscape. I also like Ground Breakers but not as much. Gary Alan has great ideas. I am lucky to have a guy who does great work live by me. He has been doing landscaping for about 40+ years now. I learn alot for him. I might hook up with him this winter to learn some more. As my grandpa always say " I've been a Mason for 40 years and I'm still learning." Amen to that.
