I need you guys advice on a couple mowers I have found to purchase.
1. 1999 encore 13hp,36" gear driven for 1700.00
2. 2000 great dane 14hp,36'' hydro for 2200.00
I have a few small lawns that my exmark wont fit into and need something smaller to use. I would really like to buy a new one but I really dont know how much longer our economy can keep me in business.

The belt drive is worth between $13-1500 depending on condition of the unit. The hydro is probably worth about $1800.

If they are from the same outfit, I would make them an offer of about $1900 for the hydro as it will out perform the encore under extreme mowing conditions.

Seems like way too much for the Encore.
