Hey guys,
My parents recently just split up and when my dad moved out he left his mower since he doesnt need it at his new place, and my mom now has a lawn service so she doesnt need it anymore, and thus i come to you for help. I know close to nothing about mowers and have no idea how much this thing is worth or what i can get for it.
The mower is a Metro Exmark with a Kawasaki FH430V 15HP engine. Its gotta have no more then 100 hours on it, and its a couple years old, but in great condition, can anyone give me an idea of how much i could get for it?

that seems a little low to me but i could be wrong, ive found a couple of the same mowers online and they are going from like 1500 to 4000, what makes one so much more then another?

Age, hours, and overall condition. There isn't a guide or actual book value to equipment. Just go off of what is comparable.

Split up or divorced? I'd sure hate to sell something before the divorce is finalized.

If it is fixed deck and pistol grip, I paid $2,600 with tax about 2 yrs ago brand new.

I know 4000 is almost a new hydro WB.

Ok so I'm looking to get a grand to 1700 for it does that seem about right?
Also how badly will simple cosmetic damage effect the price, like scratched paint?

Scratched paint as long as it is only on some of the deck. Ie(the left side of the deck or trim side) it shouldn't hurt the price too bad I'd do 1700 obo.

It's more a mix of smudged white paint on top of the red
Paint of the deck. It's a 48 inch deck and the doorway
Of our shed is probably a couple centimeters bigger then
48 inches so it's a tight squeeze

If it's really noticeable you could get some Exmark red spray paint at a Exmark dealer.

Post a few pics and everyone can give you a better idea of the value. Don't worry too much about some scratched paint. These types of mower are utilitarian built. Also, note some of the other post..make sure that this is something you are allowed to be selling so as to avoid any problems.

I am allowed to sell it, I wasn't to sure how to sell it so I just threw it up on my local Craigslist for 1700 obo and have a few people coming to look at it on the weekend.
