I have had monkeys at all pay levels, very few people today understand work ethics.

I pay 12-25 and looking at other ways to compensate to encourage them to take responsibility for their work, safety and treat customers like they are family.

We pay $10 initially for people with no experience. After training and 2-3 months of proof of good work ethics, pay goes up to $11 or $12, depending on abilities.
Experienced technicians start at $13 and if they work out, after a month, review and raise accordingly. Currently, top pay is $14, but will be $15 this season (3rd year).

Also, we give monthly bonuses for achieving/surpassing quotas. Commissions for sales: $10 cash on sale day plus 5% for each paid treatment.

This is for a lawn fertilization position in NE Ohio.
