For sale 16HP Billy Goat Leaf Loader. Only has a few hours on it...estimated 4 or 5. Looks and runs great. The hose has a few more hours on it...lent it to a friend with the same unit. The unit itself has never seen weather...stored indoors 100% of the time. Starts first pull and runs like new. I just don't use it. I think it's a 2005, but as you can see it's in great shape. You can add the new Piranha shredding blade on it (bolts to front of impeller) to reduce the leaves more, according to my dealer. I think he said it was in the $30 range.

It has the tailgate mount kit, the tall 360 degree rotating discharge pipe and the Briggs & Stratton 16HP Vanguard engine. The only defects on the unit itself are a couple of light scratches on the discharge pipe and a little flaking paint where it rotates (see pictures). My buddy wore the hose a little bit so that the metal around the hose started to wear through the fabric a little (thus the duct tape) and there is some light rust on the hardware. It's still in very good condition though and lightly used.

The no nonsense cash only off-season price is $2,000, no trades. I will stand behind this unit 100%...other than the little wear on the hose, the light scratches on the pipe and the flaking paint (notice no rust there), it's in perfect condition. Save yourself $1,000 or more over new. Manuals included.

I'd rather not ship but I can help load it to your truck or trailer no problem (have tractor with front loader if you can't help lift).

I check here pretty often so a private message works good for me.

The unit is on the CT shore, Old Saybrook vicinity.

Thanks for the bump...yup, hardly used. And if anyone is wondering, I took the air cover and filter off just to show how clean the carb is...I don't run it like that, lol.

Yeah, to the top for a really clean unit !

If this was for sale three months ago I would have taken it off your hands and saved a grand over new. Oh well.

Good luck with the sale.

Yeah, well every year I tell myself I'm going to build a new leaf box for my dump trailer and chase piles and do one-time cleanups after I'm done with my regulars, but it just doesn't happen. I don't have much use for a leaf loader for my regulars...most of them are "blow to woods" accounts. For the remainder of them I bring my Lazer out in my dump trailer and pick up with that. Given the choice of having the leaf loader with me or the mower, the mower seems to work better for me. If I had a dump truck or sump insert it would be great to have both.

LOL, that's "Dump" insert, not sump insert.

can you deliver this loader

I dunno....I suppose delivery is a possibility but I'm not much of a fan of driving out to Long Island...driving on the L.I.E. is freakin crazy IMHO, so I'm certainly not jumping up and down over the thought. I'd also hate to get out there and have you decide you don't want it for some reason. I don't know where you are out there...I'd be more inclined to meet you at the ferry in Bridgeport or something if you came over from Port Jeff'.

Dang, good price Darryl. I need to invest in some spring equipment, but otherwise I would be all over this deal.

If you post 4 more times you'll have use of private mail (you need 10 posts). I don't like putting my personal contact info up on here.

Any chance it's still for sale?

Darryl G

I've still got it but I wouldn't let it go at that price at this point. I was desperate for cash at the time due to lack of snow. I'd need $2,500 for it now. I think that's a fair price considering it's condition. Or you could wait until I'm desperate for cash again, lol.

10-19-2012, 10:23 AM
Okay thanks for getting back to me- I'd give you $2,000 cash in hand and be there to pick it up today.

Darryl G

$2,250 would be the lowest I'd go at this point.

OK, I'm guessing that's a no then.
