It's looks and sounds like it will be really tough to find a low hour 36'' viking did you think of getting a different brand or buying new ?

No i haven't thought of differrent mower, but mabye scag 36 in hydro. I don't like 1000 hours for that price is a good deal. I am looking for 600 hours max!

only belt i see is the deck belt which you need to run the blades.
second belt would be under engine area which you need to run the hydro pumps.
do you see the hydro hoses ? it is a hydro.

you seem to be dead set on buying a mower that you are not very familiar with. can i ask who told you to buy only a viking hydro? and not other brands or belt drive units ?

i realize you were'nt trying to be mean. but why only a viking ? turf tracers are better because of floating deck. and there are a few other brands that are very good also. if you need a 36'' max then you should be looking for a 36'' hydro brand should'nt matter too much simply because it aint easy to find a 36'' hydro in general there just aint that many that come up for sale used at all. and when you do find a nice clean one just be ready to pay good $ for it.

well, the thing is yes you are completely right, but i have seen some pretty good deals in the past. " a 36in viking sell for $1900 with 250 hours on it" Great condition. What other brand should i look for and what type? I need a hydro. Also, do 48in vikings come up more than 36in

I MOW ALONE
01-30-2012, 12:43 AM
yes you will find quite a few more 48"-52'' viking or turf tracers come up for sale then a 36'' exmark scag gravely and bobcat are a few there all good brands.

Its just with 48in, they don't fit through gates, and that's why i need a 36in!! Ugg, i need to keep looking for a (VIKING 36 FOR SPRING/CUTTING SEASON)

CareFreeLawns

No, will settle for a turf tracer as well like you suggested, it's just those are a littl ebit more expensive due to floating deck.

Just curious does it have the ECS controls or pistol grips ?

I MOW ALONE
01-30-2012, 01:17 AM
well i think you just need to search for a 36'' hydro. fixed or floating deck dont make no difference when your going to be lucky to find either at a good price used in good condition. like i said scag gravely and bobcat are all good choices.

It depends why you chose the Viking if it was the ECS controls then nothing really, but if it's the fixed deck hydro then their is a lot out there.

Man you know there is nothing wrong with a belt drive I just prefer a hydro mower but you might want to think about just buying a new belt drive. Exmark or SCAG 36" run about 3000 + brand new!

if it's exmark you would be better off with ecs controls but pistol grips are fine too.

Wow, that looks like a good one. I need some help.. Like i've been told exmark is the sh** and the best brand becvause THEIR PRODUCTS PLAST 4EVER! I want this mower, but will the lesco last for a long time. How do i contact the guy to ask him how many hours?

Sorry, i found out hours and number. Will a lesco last?

weaver
01-30-2012, 12:50 PM
It says 250 hours on the Lesco. Yes I agree also that Exmark is awesome. While that machine might not be as high end as Exmark or SCAG. It should last someone a long time . Just do your proper maintenance.

Yeah, if you're going with eXmark then I would try and get one with the ECS controls. If you want a hydro and if your going to be running a sulky with it hydro would be real good for it. Their are different brands out there and as long as you worn't dead set on the ECS controls, and are fine using pistol grips you could go with (Ferris,Snapper Pro,Toro,Bobcat,Scag,)and more you. could Post another Ad here like: WTB 36'' Hydro with low hours.

LawnMan19
01-30-2012, 12:59 PM
Yeah, almost any brand will last as long as you do the proper maintenance it needs Lesco or eXmark they will both last long just do the maintenance they need.

I'm really sorry guys, i have a great buisness but don't know a lot about mowers. How many years min. would the lesco last? Also, i was thinking about scag but man are those expensive as well. Also, what's the difference between lesco and exmarks?

LawnMan19
01-30-2012, 01:18 PM
Well their are a lot of variables to answer you're questions how many hours do you plan on putting on the mower each season and their are a many differences between lesco and exmark but none are that big or noticeable.

Now remember Redhawk is "China" made, not alot of servicing dealers around. Just something else to think about.

I'm in fairfax, va. The exmark looks good, but the thing is it is a good mower, but $2600 with 650 hours is a bad price. I'm starting to get a feeling that redhawks are not built to last as long due to prices. Can someone please tell me their opions on a redhaws mower!?!?!
