there is a guy getting out of the business and he has several for sale. Some are 3 y/o to 1 y/o what would you pay for them if they appear to be well taken care of. Anything I should look out for when I go look at them?
1 y/o worth ?
2 y/o?
3 y/o?
I know these things are 900 to 1200 new but also been used for a business. No way to know how many lawns have been mowed by them. Thanks in advance

I was looking through craig list and the top price for a 21" was $200 and most were less than $100. I am trying to sell one for a customer and/or we buy it.

The worth of anything? Is what someone is willing to pay ! how bad do you want it?

i would try to get an idea of how many hrs are on them. at least the 1year old ones. perhaps only buy those and don't buy the older ones. try to find out how much they were used. if 10hrs every day then i would say $200 or less just to protect yourself but if they were used 5hrs or less a day then maybe closer to $300-$400 would be ok.

Hmm funny I see people wanting 500 to 900. I guess how many hours do think you will get out of a commercial mower. So let's say 1000 hrs then I guess you could take off a dollar per hr that you estimate. So guy on cl say I used it 4 hrs a day you should multiply it 3 for bs factor? X the number days

there's no way to know for sure. most people will lie to you just so they can get more money out of the deal. if it were me i wouldn't go over $3-$400 dollars. i would rather go buy a brand new residential honda for $500 than spend that much for a commericial one with 500hrs or more on it.

I've seen 6 yr old commercial Hondas that were used residentially sell for 5-600. I've bought some used ones for 200-250. Really depends how well they are taken care of. I've bought parts mowers for 100-150 just for wheels/carb/etc. the parts aren't cheap so a neglected mower that needs a camshaft, or wheels, carb and bag, adjusters can add up quick.

went by that guys place and he had one that was a year old but it was poorly taken care of like most of the rest of his and he wanted $750 for it. I did pick a nice echo 230 trimmer for $125. He had a bunch more but that one looked almost brand new. I'll keep my eye out for another deal.
