Looking to buy several sets of Gator G6 blades for the coming season and was looking for the cheapest place to get them.

Thanks

Why does everyone have to be cheap? Support your local dealer even if you pay $2 more per blade. Gezzz Move to China if you want to be cheap.

The same dealers that don't really care about your business and jerk you around? I would agree with you if the dealers around here were opposite of that. Since they aren't, I will buy the parts as cheap as I can find them. I'm also not going to give them $10 more for the same filter I can buy online so I can support my local dealer. That's just rediculous.

Why does it have to be a matter of "being cheap"? Why can't it be "sensible spending". Example, the belt for my rider is $107.00 from the dealer, but I can get the same part from mowpart.com for $10.00. So I should just go give the dealer the extra hard earned $100.00? I'm all about supporting my dealer and would RATHER go there (instant gratification, got it in my hand), but I'm also about my bottom line.

To answer the question, you may try mowpart.com or J-Thomas.com. I don't know if they're cheaper or not but you can try.

Wow, thanks for your overwhelming contribution to the thread!

I don't know anything about your business and quite frankly I don't care but I doubt you go through the amount of blades I do. I will be buying 20 sets of blades, that's quite a bit of money. If I can save $10-$12 per set you bet I'm going to. I can just about bet if you were buying 20 sets you would be price shopping too.

Anybody would. Why would anyone want to pay more money for the exact same thing? They wouldn't.

Thanks alot for turning me on to mowpart.com. The 21" G6 blades are $14.33 ea., I thought that was a pretty good price. Funny thing is, shipping was $180 and change for 60 blades

Correct! I guess I'm guilty of trying to protect my bottom line. Apparently, someone isn't too concerned about that.

No problem, check out http://j-thomas.com/
I believe they have a flat rate on shipping. I'm not sure they have the blades you're looking for but it's worth a shot. This time of year I try to mix and match with the vendors depending on what I need. And yes, that $180 would be a killer!!!!

I actually checked J. Thomas first and they didn't seem to have the G6 blades listed. I may give them a call in the morning just to double check. I figured I would be in the $1,000-$1,100 dollar range for 20 sets. mowpart.com was $1,030 and change delivered for 20 sets.

Thanks again my friend!

My pleasure.. intended use of LS once again!
Not sure of the sizes you need but Baileys has them too.

And I believe Baileys is a sponsor on here so they might have some sort of discount.

Good grief, Bailey's isn't even in the ballpark at $22.99 per 21" blade. mowpart.com is $14.33 for the same blade. Looks like I know where I'll be placing the order.

Cmon man, you don't want to support them and pay $8 more per blade? Move to china.

What's with all the 21" blades? Are you guys running some funky 42" and 63" machines?
Online shopping will be the end of brick and mortar stores.Posted via Mobile Device

hahaha...you're right, I don't know what I'm thinking??!! I suppose I'm just a cheap bastage that should be hung on public display in the town square for trying to save some money.

Well, I run three Snapper Pro S200Xs' with 61" decks and that's what they require per the part description are 21" blades. They actually don't measure 21" from end to end but pretty close.

I'm not completely convinced that on-line shopping will be the death of the brick and mortar stores. It certainly is hurting the local stores but how much I'm unsure. Seems like my dealer wants pretty close to full retail for everything and I've spent a bunch of money with him. I've bought 7 wheeled pieces from him, untold amount of handhelds, wheeled blowers, chainsaws, trimmer line, oil, OEM parts...you get the idea. Just seems like I should get a little better break on blades and such as opposed to some homeowner that buys maybe $50-$100 in a year or two.

LOL, I knew I'd get flamed for my post. So what does your dealer sell the blades for if you don't mind me asking?

Well, it's not some money. At 60 blades, 2 or 3 dollars more amounts to $120-$180.....and $8/more amounts to almost $500.....

$69.99 +7% state sales tax for a total of $74.89 per 3 blade set. This is opposed to $42.99 + shipping from mowpart.com. Now, what would YOU really do?

mowpart is a sponsor on this site I believe, and I also order large numbers of blades at once. They have great prices and great service. They will probably be on your doorstep in 2-3 days. Thanks, Brad

These guys have the best price I've seen so far for G6's for my Deere, maybe they can hook you up too. Says they ship USPS flat rate for most parts-
