I was wondering what kind of engines for those of you that have used both kohler or kawasaki?:blob3:

Both engines are good. I am kinda partial to kohler. Depends a on the availability of parts in your area.

The kawi seems to run more hours than the kohler. I see more 12.5 and 14 horse kawi's still in service that are 10 or more years old.

Kawi's make more torque. So I guess depending on what your cutting it could make a difference. I have been buying kawis now and like them. I had a few parts avaliability problems early on, but that doesn't seem to be a huge problem anymore. With proper maintenance either motor should go lots of hours.
