I'm ordering 15,000 door hangers within the next week. How many regular lawn accounts do you think I can generate from this? roughly...

Hello, I hope you plan on spending alot of time getting them out. We usually do about 4500-6000 a year. It takes 2 guys almost 2 weeks to get them out. Iv ususally gotten any where from 1- 2 percent response rate.

Now half of those people are inquiring about one time services. And the other half are inquiring about mowing. Out of the half the Inquiring we will land for the season and hope to continue into following years. So If you put out 15000 with a 1% rate. You will get 150 calls. 75 with be for mowing, and you could probably bank on 35-40 regular customers. Plus the side work and extras from the 75 Inquiries for other services.

thanks bud.. I plan on using 4 people (including myself) to get them out over 3 weeks. Figuring 5,000 a week, roughly.

Marketing rules would suggest 2-3 per house 3-4 weeks apart. :usflag:

The one thing I have found that doesn't work for door hangers or even putting fliers on the front door is that people with garages tend to pull into the garage and go inside that way.

I am very curious to hear the results of the 15,000!

I like the idea of both stick it and band it. I would like to hear from people who have used stick it before, as I wonder what the homeowners response is to something stuck to their front door. I would order 5k tonight (I think its a great idea) but not sure how people (especially older folks) would respond to things stuck to their doors.

Looking forward to your responses.

I do flyers & post cards in the paper boxes not door hangers (door to door takes to long). But in comparison I've been able to get out 1,000 per 4hrs. 2 days a week so 2K flyers per week......usually get my 5K I order out in 2.5 weeks. Response has been 0.05%. We target homes valued at 250K+ and strictly looking for maintenance contracts so side work unless its $1,000+

No experience with stick it but LOVE the band it. Last year it was a very windy day when we were out there doing hangers and all of ours were staying right on the door knobs but I could see someone else's just flying off doors and going down the street. They are an awesome product and I love mine

I am sure you could get a few calls for work just by the "cool" factor.

You know these people see dozens of flyers each year, so anything to stand out couldnt hurt.

Now my wheels are turning ;)

The Band-it's are fine but be careful with the stick-it's they can cause problems, just saying.

So you have used them before? What kind of problems did you run into?

I use stick it and the best thing to do with them is stick it to the door knob or handle not the door or glass. They have worked well for me.

I never got the stick-it's I was hearing problems that they can pull the paint off some people's doors, not a widespread problem by any means but it can happen.
