What would be the cost to convert diesels trucks including the tank in bed?
What is the outlook on the price of propane this summer?

I didn't think the converson from diesel to propane was possible. Doesn't propane need a spark to ignite the fuel? Diesel ignites from compression.

There is propane injections that boost performance of a diesel. Now a gas engine can be converted to run on propane.

You can't go 100 percent CNG with a diesel, but 70% or so is possible.

Here are the stations in Austin. Oklahoma has CNG at $.80 a gallon.

I had a 100% CNG F150. Good trucks if you can find them.

I am pretty sure you can run 100% propane in a diesel.

There may be a system for diesels to run 100% propane, but I have not seen it.

From what I have read about propane the Bully Dog system seems the best and uses fumigation. They say there is an ideal mix around 20% that adds power and economy.

I have a Duramax that I'm planning to add CNG fumigation system, run 70-80% CNG. CNG is cheaper and domestic. Should reduce my fuel cost to less $0.12/mile.

Any idea what 100% propane would do?

I am pretty sure you can run 100% propane in a diesel.

How are you going to have ignation? Diesels ignite under compression. If propane compresses it tends to turn to liquid.

Propane will help with combustion of the diesel.

The answer is yes you can put propane on a Diseal and no you don't need a spark plug to ignite propane. But I think I might wait for the NG kits.

Where did you get your information?

From the shop that has been installing them in Austin ...McCoys talked to the shop foreman that I work with on weekends. I thought I had seen a couple being installed a few months ago.

Ok.

The only things I am seeing are blending kits... Not a full conversion. Good luck.
