Looks like you keep your stuff like I do mine!

Which engine is that, the 29 Kawi LQ, and have you had any troubles at all with the machine?

What cleaning product do you use on yours? Purple power does good for me. Do you wax the blade deck to keep the stains off of it?

I use bleche white diluted with about half water. don't let it sit on there very long. Then use a wash mit and regular car wash. Mequire's or Mother's. I have found that if I put a few coats of wax on the mower it cleans up really easy and stays looking newer longer. I have friends that are in this business and NEVER wash their equipment. And some people laugh about how i take care of things but when I sell it I make three times what they do when they sell theirs. With the price of everything skyrocketing it just makes since to take care of things. That way you get back every penny you can when its time to sell.

Tell me about it. I'm kind of the same way. I was just wondering because my blade deck don't look that good. Mine is an 05 with almost 1300 hrs on it. Everything else is still nice and orange.

that looks better than my mower at 125hrs! i washed mine with wash n wax when i first bought it. haven't washed it since then and i don't ever try to get it spotless anymore. i just wipe the seat off and maybe clean the wheels off from time to time. one mowing and it's all dirty again so no point in trying to keep it spotless.

Looks great. I touched one up with Scag gold spray paint in Dec. There is plenty to paint when you have employees. Also put a new plastic piece on trim side of deck. This is the first time I tried this prior to selling. I wished I would have taken a pic before it sold. Sold locally before I had a chance to take pics for CL.

I'm still waiting for my Wildcat to come in. This information is nice to know to keep it clean and looking new. Don't think I'll ever trade mine in, but things may change. (if someone asks the right price, eh?)

Nice job, BTW. Impressive.

Looks good. I try to keep my stuff looking clean like that but both of my mowers were bought used so its not really possible.

How do you like the OCDC chute on there? I thought about getting one but didn't know if it would work very well.

To be honest it's not worth what I paid for it on ebay. I bought it before Scag came out with their own model. Friend has two Tigers with the Scag chute and I like it better. I have to keep an eye on the nuts and bolts, they keep vibrating loose. When this happens the chute won't stay in the up position. A little wrenching and it works great again. I probably have to mess with it 10-15 times a season. Tighten them to tight and it won't work. make them too loose and the chute won't stay up. Overall I give it a 7.5 for what its supposed to do and functionality.

Could you put some Loc tight on it, or lock nuts?

Would some lock tight nuts not fix the problem?

You've got 900 hours on that machine?! It looks brand new! I've seen used ZTR's with less than 30 hours on them and they don't look as good as yours.

Thanks for the reply Mike. With the Scag OCDC do you guys use it to mulch at all or just stop the grass from blowing near cars? If so, how does it mulch?

Strickly for just stopping grass. Not much on mulching.

I won't go into depth on my blade rituals but you would probably be surprised. My blades are kept in great shape also. Main thing is to maintain that factory angle, sharpness, and balance. A clean mower with great blades is a happy mower!

Looks Great!! After every mowing, do you just blow off your mower or do you wash it with a hose/power washer? - Mike

I have put a few coats of wax on the complete mower over the last few days. It only takes a few minutes per coat. That puts a protective "film" over the paint to where the grass doesn't stick very well. After each mowing I just go by and blow it off. I don't clean my mower with water but a few times a year. I don't clean it like this but once and thats just before mowing season starts. I give it a real good cleaning and servicing and then start to put on the coats of wax the few weeks before the season starts. To me its money in the bank. For a couple of huors a year I always get absolute top dollar for my equipment when I sell it.
