Taking Fido to work

Over here a lot of contractors take their dogs along to work
with them,and leave them tied up to their vehicles with bowl
of water while they work. This way their gear is secure while they are away from the vehicle. I occasionally take
my dog with me.(Doberman) Be hard to steal my gear with 80lb
of drooling Doberman humping your leg as you try to run off.

I've taken my dog (chocolate lab) to a couple jobs where the customers have kids who like to play with him. Although only when it's an hour or two job on a Saturday. I don't think it's kind to the dog to put him thru a full day. Not to mention when he has to do his duty, where is he going to go? On the customer's lawn that you just cut? I'm sure y'all would pick it up, but does that look professional? About the security factor? I know my dog wouldn't cut the mustard on that one...maybe lick the person to death though! :)
