View Full Version : looking for help getting 5x10 set up for mulch

Hey guys, got the first job of the year, now we are trying to fab up an easy way to make our 5x10 trailer with about 1 foot tall sides not loose all our mulch through the gaps between the angle iron. Any suggestions? Anyone know how many yards we will be able to pack after said work? It's got a 3500 lb axle. I'm hoping 2-3 yards? Anyways suggestions appreciated (and no not sell the trailer and buy a bigger one lol):)

Buy a trap large enough to line the trailer. You can never have enough tarps.

Get some plywood and cut it to fit inside the rails and make a piece to fit across the back. I think you could get 2 yards on it but Idk.

I read your post again and think using plywood will allow more material to be loaded. You'd have 4ft front and sides then lay a trap on the back to hold it in.

All I carry on my 5x10 is two yards.
If it is loaded correctly open sides should not be a problem.

Three yards overloads the axle.

I regularly put 4 yards in mine. Just put plywood on the floor and built 2 foot sides, I would go with a little taller sides though, I have to pack the four yards in there.
