A good pruner is not only aware of the flexibility of each plant, but also has the artistic finesse to show each plant in its most favorable light, while maintaining the integrity of the landscape as a whole...

I remember when a client was interviewing arborists, to do a particular job is a nearby patch of woods... One guy was laughed about by everyone who heard the story... College educated in some imagination tree hugger university no doubt... Sounds a lot like your guy here... :)
