I am rather new to maintenance on my mower and do not have the manual. What size oil do you guys use in push behinds, and zero turns 23 hp.

Thanks in advance for any help or reply.

I am using Mobil 1 10w 30 or 10-w40 in mine. If like last summer when we had so many 100+degree days I use the heavier weight.

Kohler recommends 10W-30 as a standard weight oil in their engines since they have hydraulice valve lifters. They don't specify regular or synthetic though, so either should work fine.

I use regular Pennzoil 10w30 with 200 hour oil and filter changes. 28 HP EFI Kohler.
