Something new on the social media front that's growing fast - best to get in early for maximum benefit to your search engine strategy.

My SEO expert sent this message:

Pinterest (http://pinterest.com/) has been driving a large amount of web traffic recently and website owners, along with the media, are taking notice. The growth of this relatively new social sharing platform is rather staggering. Gradual growth in search volume for the term “pinterest” started in late 2011 and took off in early 2012.
From a link building perspective, this platform may be very valuable for creating links to your websites and blogs and promoting your content.

Check out my Pinterest board on Landscape Lighting (http://pinterest.com/castlighting/landscape-lighting/).

You'll need to request an invitation to join pinterest - once you join, you get to build your own boards and to pin images from websites. After joining, let's post links to our boards on Lawnsite - we can go to each others boards and click like or re-pin on images to help each others SEO!

I started using Pinterest a few weeks ago. You can visit my boards here: http://pinterest.com/integralighting/

Unfortunately, in the subject of Landscape Lighting or Outdoor Lighting, there is an overwhelming variety of truly awful fixtures, systems and images on Pinterest. Perhaps if more Lighting Pros got involved we could manage to skew the search results?

I agree with you James and I think we can really make a difference on that site. My Pinterest page is www.pinterest.com/nightscenes .

Thank you Steve for re-pinning some of my stuff!
