Have a customer who wants an area filled in where the ground is starting to wash away. Looks like mostly shale.Think whomever did the lawn used very little if any topsoil the area with the most damage is aproximatly 700 sq ft. I got a price for 8 ton of soil at 3 inch depth. Also thinking 150/$200 labor for 2men spreading and seed fert& cover.

Have the dirt hauled in by supplier for $30 fee, which will be added to estimate. Plan on wheeling to area to be patched and grading by hand . not too difficult of a job.

Why are you going to replace the soil without fixing the problem? If the previous soil has washed away, then the new soil will wash away too, unless you fix the drainage problem first.

You had better charge a lot more than $230.00 plus the cost/markup of the top soil, because you'll be doing it again for free after this soil (8 tons) washes away.
