started a job a couple weeks ago, lots of miscelanious stuff(trimming, transplanting, romoving dead trees/shrubs). the final phase of the job was to install several thundercloud plum, and weeping cherries. there is snow on the ground here. it should be gone by friday, that is when i plan on installing the trees. would there be a problem planting now? the nursery i deal with has excellent quality trees, even now. what do u think?

I dont see a problem with planting now as long as the ground is workable. The trees are dormant now and will actually continue to grow under ground this winter. Put a good few inches of mulch ( this will help it from freezing and thawing to quickly) on them and some Upstart (vita. B1) for some added insurance. I live in south jersey and have planted all kinds of trees this time of year with good luck. Good luck.....

What about planting in North Jersey? I have a job that includes 20 hemlocks and would like to do it next week if the snow melts.
