does anybody know how i can stop all the blowout that i am getting out of the front right corner of my deck? I have a Lazer with the trivantage that i put a vac on just before i put it into storage. Got a good deal on the vac so i had to jump on it. Pulled the mower out and went over the lawn and noticed ALOT of blowout. Anybody have any suggestions? Thank you

well i can't really help you since i live in the south. alot of the problem with blowout is from cutting at high mowing heights. i cut at 2" and i've never had any blowout on any mower in my life. alot of you northern grass cutting guys mow at 3 1/2-4" which is why blowout is more of a problem for you. i would suggest trying to cut at 3" maybe? what is your current mowing height? also does that deck have adjustable baffles in the front of it? if so try lowering them down a bit.

We have the same problem...sometimes all you can do is throttle down to about 1/2 throttle...less airflow.

Good tip on the 1/2 throttle thing, will try that tommorow. And i do cut at 3 in the spring then 3.75 in the summer so i dont kill anything!!! My exmark is 1999 so their arent any adjustable baffles. hahaha

Darn, I thought this was a thread about a different kind of blow out. I was hoping to see what others were doing to avoid a human blow out. Yea you think I am kidding but, I am dead serious.

Mount a rubber strip on the deck that hangs down below where the blow out is.You might have to do the whole front of deck.
