We use square gator line. We have tried stihl square line and some other brands of round line. We stick with the square gator because of durability. We don't use stick edgers so it is vital that our line lasts a while during use. I can usually weedeat and vert edge an entire walmart property on a full load of .095.

I like the Echo .105 line. Maybe it's not the best, but I like it.

I use .95 Orange Nylium Oregon Starline after trying everything. If I get into some serious overgrown stuff I run the .99 Oregon Flexiblade and it just hammers through anything like it's butter. I was so impressed with the Oregon trimmer line I ordered an Oregon Pivotrim Pro head and have used it exclusively ever since. I use it with the precut 100 pack strips of orange .95 Nylium Starline.

i use .095 triangle or square. i have some rotary diamond cut (square) and i also just bought some rhino tuff triangle from home depot. 3lb spool is about $30. i never use round line because it doesn't cut as well.

Husqvarna titanium spool. .095. It's kind of twisted. Cuts nice and really durable. Make sure to soak your spools in a bucket of water for a day or so. Makes a big difference.

Curious about this as well, why the soak?

The soaking makes the nylon line more flexible so it doesn't break as often.

i use Oregon .105 the big spool. works well and last a long time. I always keep some in my pocket to eliminate the trip to the truck to refill.

well i tried the rhino tuff and i have to say it does work good but it's not as tough as the rotary diamond cut line. the rotary line is the same .095 but it's bigger around than the rhino tuff .095. it's almost .105 by the way it looks. it is just a tough line that i may only have to bump 3-4 times on a lawn. the rhino line i may have to bump 5-6 times. the rhino line is fine for just normal trimming but doing things like edging or really thick weeds the rotary line is much better.

I use round 0.95 line from laser. About $35 for 5 lbs. I don't like any square, triangle or other angular lines, as I find they catch the air too much, causing turbulence and not giving a sharp cut.
