Just bought a used Lesco spreader. I want to use it for spreading ice melt on walks. Is there a skirt available to limit the broadcast to walk width?

check with your local lesco dealer, or take some measurements and look at other local companies that sell spreaders. good luck

One entire spreader is built to either rotary broadcast or drop material at the users descretion. the components used to add this feature would be very difficult to retrofit, so a whole new spreader would be in order.

The is a deflector that installs on the right side (as you stand behind the spreader) but will do nothing to limit the left side. I have seen people modify this item or somple hang a small sheet of plexi from the hopper frame with stainless steel (West Marine, Boaters World, etc) hinges.

There is one store in IA. You can find it here:

or call 800-321-5325 7A-6P EST

Rap an old tarp around the spreader.

I'd think a drop spreader would be good for sidewalks. Better targeting, less waste, no burnt up grass.
