Just curious, I see you have a tractor therfore you must do tractor work. My question is, how many yards of dirt can you haul in the back of your rig while pulling the trailer? By the way nice setup.

Hey Scagman -
That's the only real dilemna with this rig. You are pushing it with 2-3 yards weight wise. We have debated switching out the steel bed for an alluminum bed to give us an extra 1000 or so but don't think we'll do it. Mulch wise it's a little better we can haul about 6 yards. Without the trailer - 10. Our plan for 03 is the new 4500 GMC Topkick that will push GVW to 17,500. That will give us some breathing room and still enable us to just barely pull that trailer without a CDL. My advise on trucks -- always go bigger than you think you need, even if you have to go with a little older truck with a budget, you'll thank yourself in the long run.
