I just picked up a new account who had his yard hydroseeded in the fall. I usually use my dethatching rake on my lawns when doing spring cleanups. His yard however still has quite a thick layer of the mulch they use when hydroseeding throughout the lawn. The lawn also isn't very thick yet, so I was wondering should I leave the layer of hydroseed mulch there since it may have some seed left in it that has yet to germinate or should I use the thatch rake and take it up. Just didnt know if this could damage the lawn from getting thicker.

The hydro-layer will eventually decay and become an important part of the soil's structure, if handled correctly...

I would leave it alone as well, besides, thatch shouldn't be an issue on a just-established lawn.
