Its great to see so many Texans on here, that helps. I am in the Round Rock area and we are pretty new. Our company has grown just over 400% in the last 4 months and we have a $40K job coming up, kinda scary. we will see how it goes. Is there ever any meeting between companies in the same area. I am not looking to compete or anything just share some knowledge and gain some. Any help would be great.

I'm in Longview and do this part time. Whoever it was on here awhile back from Texas, and said we don't really have a LEAF season, needs to drive to East Texas sometime and I can show them all of the leaves they want to see! If you've never been to E TX in the fall you should check it out. :D

I grew up in texas , Houston till I was 15 and New Braunfels till 18. Currently Ive been running my lco in MI since 1998 but at 25 yrs old and most of my family still in Texas Im making plans on moving Heavenly Greenscapes to either Houston,New Braunfels or Dallas in 2005. Im undecided as to where I should go Ive got family in all three locations so really its just going to come down to whos got the better growing season and the greatest demand for lawn care and landscaping.
Also here in MI our contracts are seasonal and only set up for 28 cuts April 15th to October 31st. So any help from some fellow Texans would be greatly appreciated.
Up here we do fall clean-ups from Nov. 1st till about Dec. 15th Then its just wating for the snow to fall till April 15th. So Im sure Your work flow is scheduled much differrant. Thats what I need to get a idea as to when to schedule my services down there.
Thanks in advance yall.

I am from Oklahoma City, but last fall my wife and I traveled to Austin, and drove right through Roundrock. I said that this would be a good town to launch a new LCO in. Looks really nice there, everything is new, should be lots of work. Good luck!:D
