I have an 2005/2006 Jacobsen AR-3 for sale. It has a new hour meter which replaced the one that read 1560 hours. It is a great, clean machine as you can tell by the pictures.Width of cut is 72" produced from three 27" decks. It is powered by a 30 HP Kubota turbo diesel.

I bought it for some properties that fell through after spending three weeks in the winter detailing and replacing whatever was needed. It has all new casters, caster shafts and caster bushings. All the deck bushings have been replaced, comes with two sets of blades, new battery. Fuel filters, hydro filter were just replaced. New tires and some other new parts. I can't remember everything. I thought I was going to be using it quite a bit so if I even thought a part might need replacing I replaced it. We rebuild one of the deck rollers, the others are in great shape and tight.

I would love to keep it as it leaves an awesome cut and stripes!. But with those accounts falling through it makes no sense.

With the three decks this thing cuts great. I have yet to put it in a position where it scalps and I have tried to get it to scalp! I have put about 16 hours on it this Spring so I know everything is working as it should but being a used machine it is sold as is.

Here is a link to the Jacobsen web site for specs on a new one. The specs/features listed on the site may be slightly different but not that much has changed over the years.

Price is $10,500 which is less than I have in it. I believe these machines new are $38,000.

Machine is in Fort Wayne, IN. I would be willing to meet someone 100 miles or so for pick up. If you need it shipped I would suggest uShip.com.

Whats the tallest grass you think this could cut? Im assuming it's made to cut lawns where the grass doesn't get very tall. More of a finish mower that a regular mower?

Specs say up to 3.5" but i think it cuts best when it is in the 2.75" or less range when following the 1/3 blade rule. Yes, it is a fine finish mower.
