I'm looking at a W/B with this motor and am wondering if anyone is using this motor. Any opinions good or bad?

I had a couple of 23hp Kohlers in the past...they ran great on 61" 3-wheelers. No complaints.

Thanks, this one will be on a 52" W/B.

Whoa, plenty of power on a 52. Should do a nice job with doubles, too Joel.
I know Ferris has a 52" WB with a 23hp kawi and it does a great job. Thing will cut down a corn field, LOL.

"You can never have too much power......hehehe"
I am getting close to jumping on that Snapper, still discussing it with my financial advisor (wife) but it looks like a go.

lawncare3 lists a 48" snapper on his signature line, he's only 15 but may know the history of that mower. He claims to be a local boy. He started the thread: "A Tool".

J.B. I use a 2002 23hp Kohler on my 60" Lazer. I do at times wish I had a bigger motor when I'm in the tall grass, but I don't know if it would make enough of a difference. What's ever big enough? Back to your question, I like my 23 and if you're looking at one on a 52" WB I can't imagine it not being plenty. One of the eXmark factory reps convinced me he preferred the 23 over the 25. I average about a gallon of gas/hr.
Had one on a toro zmaster good engine .Dont think it makes as much torq as the kawasaki 23 horse.
