Hi, i'm in missouri and just getting started with lawn and landscape. It's about 90 and humid here, but a few days ago i spread some weed n feed in my own yard, and it killed the weeds that look like small white flowers but it also killed the grass! our yard is nice, but now we have burnt patches. If it was weed killer, and grass fertilizer, why would it kill the grass? it's not suppose to, but could it be the weather here? thanks, chris

Is it the correct mix for your grass type? What brand of WNF is it?

+90 degree weather
weed and feed? Probably Scotts right, high in Nitrogen
Pray for rain, no a flood you burned the good stuff you wanted to keep along with the weeds.
Start watering bud, you burned the grass up. I don't put anything down with Nitrogen in it till fall.

Kirk, so now i know not to spread anything with nitrogen in it in the summer. Is there anything to cure the weeds in the hot summer without nitrogen in it?

If below 90 degrees and going to stay that way you can try some 3 way or weed b gone but if you got a lot, wait till fall kicks in
