Yes it was under a service area in a deck..

What can I say the guy knew to push the rocks back, use a tarp and clean it up after...

Outstanding work by all accounts..Even Pike Leary could be proud of it...

Undisturbed work area which is what it looked like all around under the service area.

Tech 1 just had to bring a 13-18 strand pipe from the clock to the VB.

Great clean up, guy knows his stuff and shows his 20 years in the trade.

Was this the one where you risked your life and plunged into the rushing river and saved the town by cleaning the diaphragm?

I'm Glad you have a guy that can do a good job!

To me.. and my expectations are apparently too high because this never happens... A tech/helper ..A clean up to make it look like you were never there. Should be the normal expectation.. however, this Rarely happens

I went to their free "final show" at the Hatch Shell in Boston a few years back. I think there was over 100,000 people there, it was insane. I would see them again.

As far as his clean up, its pretty hard to say much...He is a friend of mine, we used to be close out of work, since I stepped up with the Hoss I distance myself from him socially. Every day its a new call back or a this not checked ect...I'm sick of it..

Does the boss talk to this guy about it? Or does he just let it go? The boss needs to grow a pair and tell the guy to straighten up or get to walkin'. That's just ridiculous.

It's a tree company trying to expand to sprinkler service.

Every week its something new or another talk..

What I don't agree with is the boss, feels like there should always be an open forum on the discussion of others. So Tech # 2 calls 1 out at a safety meeting, in front of the boss, boss sides with Tech #2. I always keep my mouth shut. I really don't like this idea. Boss Hoss has talked with tech 1 every now and then over the past 5 years.. Everyone makes mistakes. # 1 makes them on a regular basis. I have issue with this when it gets in the way of my bonus.

This is not going to be tech # 1's year if this keeps up.

For about 9 years now. And oh yes we are expanding/ growing with every day..
On Cape we have a fantastic reputation for proper water management. Why? cause unlike 9/10 other companies they don't properly understand plants. We can tell you how, why, when, where to water what.

Get a new boss. Hopefully yourself at some point in the future.
Other than that just let it wash over you and let it go. I've worked in the same situation before where the boss plays "devils advocate". Keep learning and looking forward to the day that you can hand in your 2 weeks notice, if you're in the mood to give that much notice!

All time classic song, anyone remember who wrote it? Little Feat with Lowell George was a great band!

Little Feat, The Band, and Van are a few of my favorites. I remember my father listing to the vinyl when I was a little kid and it just stuck with me.

Lowell George wrote it.

I always liked those truck driving songs like "Lookin' At The World Through A Windshield", "Mama Hated Diesels", "White Freightliner Blues"... etc.

Also, from Wikipedia:

"Lowell George was born in Hollywood, California the son of Willard H. George, a furrier who raised chinchillas and supplied furs to the movie studios...
George's first instrument was the harmonica. At the age of 6 he appeared on the Ted Mack's Original Amateur Hour performing a duet with his older brother, Hampton...
At Hollywood High School Lowell took up the flute in the school marching band and orchestra. He started to play guitar at age 11, continued with the harmonica, and later learned to play the saxophone and sitar...
At a 1975 Little Feat show in Rochester, New York, George said he was fired from the Mothers of Invention because he "wrote a song ["Willin'"] about dope."
