I am looking at buying a 1998 3500HD GMC from a guy who is getting out o the spraying business. The truck has 130K miles. It runs great, interior is spotless and the AC runs very cold! The truck come with 1 Lesco 200 Gal sprayer, Hanney Electric Reel, 300 Ft hose for $3,500.

For $4,300, I can get the truck with two sprayers on it.

Is this something I should seriously think about doing? I will need to get the cab painted but for the amount of mony being asked, I feel like its a win win.

Does the truck have the 6.5L Diesel or one of the gas engines in it? Has it ever been used for plowing? Does it drive well as it is (more than just the engine running smoothly)?

It has the gas engine. No plowing, strictly spraying. Drives well too.

Looks and seems pretty good. Assuming its a 454 and 4l80e. Not to bad of a combo. And the spraying setup is pretty costly too.....don't worry bout miles I'd say go for it

Probably worth it.

If you will be putting many miles on it the cost of fuel is going to be pretty steep. Definitely single digit I would think. I'd buy the sprayers and truck and then sell the truck. The 454 was not a long lived motor and if it's a 350 it been worked pretty hard. You could probably get at least $2500 back just from selling the truck.

You could always mount the sprayers on a trailer and not even need the truck. Or just buy a Diesel truck that will be much cheaper to operate. If you blow up the truck it will be scrap metal so I would sell it now.

Cant go wrong at that price. Personally I would prefer it to have a 350 in it.
