How long did it take you to clean out the flower bed? How do you charge for something like that?

I also would like to know how long that took to do? Your price is not important to me though.

Tools: Hand ratchet pruner, hand limb saw, good steel point shovel.

Cut all trees to foot high stumps, then dig out stumps.
Pull all small stuff with hands.
Dig out old shrubs.

Go around after rake out and chop off whatever is left (unwanted) with point shovel.

Price includes haul off, getting debris to trailer(100 yards away), labor.

Seven hours, two men (14 man hours) including trips to dump material.

$490.00
$40 first man.
$30 helper.

I cleared the bed and my helper hauled to trailer/cleaned up.
We split it over two mornings, I was there at 6am today digging shrubs/stumps.
Helper is 63 and I am 56.....so we dont do hard work all day. :)
My young helper is on vacation.

After plants and mulch it should be $1200 or so.

I would normally bid that cleanout at $600 or so......but this csr is hourly.
Good csr's get a good hourly rate.

Besides, they pay me $40 an hour to water plants.....;)
