Do you replace rotors that are missing the rubber top cap? They usually still work, but I usually let the owner decide. What do you do?

As long as they work, big deal, they just look like hell.

Agree with Mr. Leary. They work, they operate, let em be.

Maxi/Mini-Paws work better without the tops.

Easier to work with as well.

If they work, leave em. Never knew any clients too concerned with the aesthetics of an in ground spray head.

change em. we are a material based industry. why would you walk by a head that it damaged and not flag it???

No, unless I have some time to waste. IMO, it's not a problem that needs fixed.

Depends on the current work load and the owner's previous budget habits.

Damaged and inoperable are two different things. There are plenty of heads getting nicked and scratched by LCO's and still function properly.

would you drive a car with a broken window? it'll still get you from place to place?

if the head is missing a cover, it's gonna fail, same with heads that leak at the seals. they get brought to the attention of the property manager and recommended to replace.

again, i'm in the business to make money, and markup on material is one of the ways i do it.

Depends on what I have sold up to that point.
