I am looking for those plastic corrugated wraps that look kinda like tile that are put around new/young trees. Can someone tell me where to find them?

Recommendation is to not use them. The only time your actually supposed to is in the first winter, if you install the trees in the fall.

The wraps actually create a place for moisture to be held and also a place where insects and disease can thrive.

So, do you really need them in your situation?

Well yes i think so. I have some customers who have young trees and they are getting a little beat up from weed eating. i thought they would protect the trees from that. If you disagree, what would you recommend?

Don't use the weed eater near the trees.

You can kill the tree by girdling. Remove the grass and build a mulch ring. You can use circle of polypropylene before application of the mulch if desire. Don't build a volcano.
