Would using drain stone/septic stone be a terrible way to cut costs for nat stone bases? Seems like it wouldnt compact as much but might drain better. Same question for walls. Not only is it cheaper but its availability is much greater at all the gravel pits and closer to jobs. Crusher you have to get from the big proccess plants.

I have used it when we have had to fill a large area before constructing a patio. We then covered it with geo-text. from there we did the base as normal with 6" of processed. I would not use strictly crushed stone because you will get little if any compaction at all from it and it will eventually shift.

Strictly 57 rock? No way! you can however mix it with m10 but then you are basically making crush n run
